The Group Audit Anti-Financial Crime team is responsible for assessing the control environment around related Group-wide activities and identifying weaknesses and potential improvements which can be made to underlying processes and controls.


Your key responsibilities

  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls relating to risks within Anti-Financial Crime and be able to derive conclusions with limited supervision.
  • Undertake multiple audit assignments, draft highquality audit reports for review by audit management, facilitate issue tracking and validate closure of issues. Participate in meetings with business stakeholders and be able to translate into outcomes for businessled audits.
  • Proactively develop and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, the business and respective support areas and work in an integrated manner with fellow team members both locally and globally. Use a range of approaches to collect relevant and readily available information to assess risk, resolve issues or carry out tasks
  • Develop and maintain broad regulatory knowledge & experience. Stay abreast of business/industry changes and their effect on the department's audit plan, methodology and risk assessments
  • Assist in conducting AFC risk assessments for the hubs in Germany & Luxembourg and contribute to risk assessment/business monitoring conducted at the country level by country Audit Heads
  • When required, assist in training other GA staff

Your skills & experience

  • Master in economics, finance or comparable (e.g. auditor certification, business law)
  • Thorough understanding of the banking risk and control environment, and knowledge of the regulatory environment specific to Anti-Financial Crime. This ideally should be demonstrated through practical experience in an internal audit role
  • Expert experience in the delivery of audit related assignments (ideally in complex financial services environments) and Anti-Financial Crime role (or respective Auditor role) as well as data management and/or analysis/review of processes and project management
  • A willingness to accept responsibility, a high level of personal integrity and an eye for detail without losing the big picture
  • Proven record of strong English and German written & verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within Group Audit and with Stakeholders and the ability to stand the ground when challenged
  • The ability to work with mínimal supervision, multitask assignments, set the priorities for the team and ensure consistent delivery of services with their quality assured
