We are looking for a Database Administrator -Oracle, to join our team in Frankfurt (we support relocation).


What we expect from you:


Requirements:


  • University degree in an information technology discipline
A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Oracle DBA
Strong understanding of IT principles.
Strong understanding of SQL and PL/SQL
Operational knowledge of OLTP Databases.
Operational knowledge of Oracle databases


Skills:


  • Fluency in English language, both spoken and written.
Ability to interact with all levels of personnel in a professional manner
A self-started, well organized, and motivated.
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to establish priorities
Proactive approach
Ability to perform routine tasks rapidly and accurately
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

  • Ability to maintain knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise.

Be able to give and take constructive criticism as well


Responsibilities:


  • Installation, configuration and upgrading of all Oracle Server software and related products.
Evaluate Oracle features and Oracle related products
Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures
Take care of the Database design, implementation and maintenance of Data Guard and Oracle Streams
Implement and maintain database access (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges).
Manage database security using Oracle Advanced Security
Perform database tuning and performance monitoring
Setup and maintain database documentation and standards
Plan databases growth and changes (capacity planning
Interface with Oracle Corporation and software provider for technical support
Patch Management and Version Control according to existing ISO procedures
Design and develop reports and provide periodic reporting and additionally report on database performance issues to Quipu management
Maintain internal Data Warehouse


Frankfurt Office:


  • Quipu's Head Office was established from the beginning in Frankfurt, while other regional offices were set up in Eastern Europe, Africa and South America, to better serve a global market.
