Crypto Finance - a FINMA-regulated financial institution and part of Deutsche Börse Group - offers professional digital asset solutions.

This includes one of the first FINMA-approved securities firms with 24/7 brokerage services, custody, infrastructure, and tokenisation solutions for financial institutions.

It also comprises the first FINMA-approved manager of collective assets for crypto assets, with an active, rules-based and index-based alternative investment fund offering, including the first Swiss crypto fund.

The German subsidiary, Crypto Finance (Deutschland) GmbH, located in Frankfurt am Main, is currently awaiting the BaFin license.

Therefore, we are looking for a Managing Director who will be responsible to establish the regulated legal entity to cover the German market and later drive expansion into Europe.

The starting date is as soon as possible in our office in Frankfurt am Main.


Key responsiblities:

As one of the three Managing Directors you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the German business activities with a focus on regulation, stakeholder management, HR, and Finance; Risk, Compliance, and IT may be an option
You will shape, drive, and steer the methodical and ambitious growth of the subsidiary, as well as the development of the company as a whole
After the license approval from BaFin, you will implement an audit proven and efficient management process for the company
You ensure flawless operations and monitor all internal and external activities


Requirements:

You have a proven track record and experience in leading companies through the build-up and implementation phase. Additionally, you have knowledge of required processes, and you can establish effective and efficient operational workflows
You have experience with complex projects in the regulated financial sector, and have an excellent network of contacts in the industry
You are an experienced leader in the financial service industry, ideally with experience in a BaFin regulated bank or financial infrastructure company either as a Managing Director or as a deputy
Your leadership style is authentic and motivating, and both your actions and way of communicating are transparent and direct; you have a good sense for entrepreneurial values, and you are a team player
You have a proven interest in crypto assets and/or blockchain technology
You create an infectious team spirit, distinguish yourself with a winning attitude, have excellent negotiation skills, and are highly self-motivated
You have a passion for excellence, and work according to the motto "getting things done"
You speak German at a native level and English fluently
