Responsibilities:

You lead, develop and mentor a team of strong, international engineering leaders, that in turn provides excellent engineering improvements and service to our repair operations
As a member of the Medical Repair Service (MRS) EMEA management team you are responsible to define, implement, control, document and improve on our technical processes and equipment to repair our products in our European repair centers.
Part of the responsibility is also to define, implement, control, document and improve on training for our highly skilled staff of repair technicians, ie. you run a number of decentralized technical training centers.
You are the interface to the legal manufacturer Service Engineering in both directions. Your suggestions drive better product development (design for x). Once development is finished, you ensure a consistent deployment of the designs and methods to our repair centers. Also you and your teams manage the service life cycle of our products regionally
You create, plan and implement a pipeline of smaller and larger improvement projects (SQCDP), that significantly contribute to our overall business success.
Furthermore, you and your team are an integral part of all LEAN activities together with all our management team members
As a member of the MRS EMEA management team you contribute significantly to the definition and implementation of the strategic direction of the business. You are also representing EMEA in the global Olympus Medical Service & Repair Engineering Management

Your qualification

Educational background/ University degree in the area of engineering
You bring 8+ years of professional experience in related international leadership positions in engineering management and/or process management
Preferably you bring experience within the Medical Technology or an comparable industrial / repair environment with regard to regulatory requirements and low volume / high mix production environments
You have proven experience in continuous process improvement systems and with Lean as a systematic approach.
You bring experience in engineering related project or project portfolio management.
You have already managed remote teams in a matrix set up at different locations and bring experience in teaching and building up engineering experts and project managers
You are an excellent communicator with business fluent English both written and spoken and have at least basic knowledge in German
Next to your excellent analytical skills, you bring strong problem solving skills and a strategic and wastefree mindset.
You have a confident manner, strong intercultural awareness and are a skilled negotiator across all levels of the organization
