Duties:


The primary purpose of this position is to perform all duties related to the central cashier operation in the Resource Management Office.
The primary duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Applies AF instructions, regulations, and internal operating instructions to cash management and accountability.
  • Counts cash and other instruments at the opening and close of the operational day using AF forms.
  • Submits reports and cash counts to the NAF accounting office using AF regulated logs and forms.
  • Issues and replenishes dollar and euro change funds.
  • Schedules deposit times for facilities and ensures facilities present their deposits daily.
  • Collects deposits and consolidates funds to prepare bank deposit slips for excess cash for dollar and euro.
  • Notifies supervisor of discrepancies.
  • Ensures all money is accounted for and makes deposits to the financial institution.
  • Works with Regional Slot office regarding discrepancies in the slot funds.
  • Coordinates with Community Bank on all large deposits.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifying Experience:
  • Must have progressively responsible experience in clerical duties relating to direct handling of cash items and cash accountability control methods.
  • Must have working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Excel/Word or other spreadsheet software.

Education:

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
