In order to support Airbus Procurement we are looking for a


Functional Team Leader Business Improvement - Customer Services Procurement (M/F/d):
We are a cross-national department in charge of Customer Services Procurement for Aerostructures and Parts Services.

Our 50-60 team members come from 13 different countries around the world and work in four locations (Hamburg, Toulouse, Lisbon, Montreal).

A highly performant supply base for after sales specific demands is crucial for our customer satisfaction.

Therefore, our mission is to shape a sustainable and flexible supply ecosystem, allowing Airbus Customer Services to meet our commitment towards the Airline customers.

We deliver & secure the Procurement Commodity strategy, contracts, and commercial conditions for spare parts and kits.

Your location

The largest production site for civil aircraft can be found in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe means that you will travel to work by ship. The vibrant port of Hamburg is a green and cosmopolitan city brimming with culture.

Your tasks and responsibilities:


In this role, you will be responsible for the business improvement activities at the interface between Procurement and Customer Service which are a key enabler for our business.

You will be part of our Management team and functionally lead a team of 3-4 project managers.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • You functionally lead the business improvement team
  • Together with our leadership team, you define and execute our Roadmap to achieve a step change in the way we work
  • You foster the digital transformation of our team and further develop our data analytics competences
  • You improve our processes and performance management
  • You upskill our people to use new technologies and tools ("Learning Lab")
  • You drive and contribute to other transversal projects and activities
  • You connect with various stakeholders in Procurement, in Customer Services and related functions

Desired skills and qualifications:

Do you enjoy working in a dynamic and international environment, thinking ahead, solving complex problems and implementing pragmatic solutions? Perfect On top you bring:

  • An excellent degree in Information Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or related
  • A Consulting background and/or knowledge of Procurement & Customer Services
  • Leadership experience (e.g. functional team lead or project lead with multiple stakeholders)
  • Analytical skills and strategic thinking
  • Team player and able to work independently
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills
  • Willingness to challenge the given
  • Negotiation level of English mandatory; German and/or French would be a plus
