As part of Moody's Investors Service (MIS), our Ratings Platform Development team leads the design and adoption of new processes and data workflows that enable digital transformation and scalability across the organization globally.


We are hiring a Vice President - Process Management to lead and own strategic business process improvement projects that will simplify and harmonize our ratings analytics across Ratings and Research (R&R) and Research Operations Center (ROC).

They will be a catalyst in multi-year initiatives to transform R&R's work processes to support digitization and adoption of generative AI technologies.

These include the full range of workflow, rating and research, ESG and other activities.

These initiatives are directly tied to firm-wide objectives and will involve regular exposure to senior and executive leaders around the business and technology enhancements.


Responsibilities:


  • Evaluate and identify improvements to existing processes within R&R_
  • Define and map existing processes across Moody's Investors Service globally and measure baseline performance
  • Collaborate closely with R&R and ROC senior leadership to identify and prioritize financial data mapping and adjustments projects (e.g., debtpurchasers mapping and adjustments simplification)
  • Assess risks associated with current and proposed processes against business objectives and ensure solutions align with the risk appetite and risk management framework, design appropriate controls
  • Design, sequence and prioritize process improvements in partnership with senior management that streamline workflows, reduce cycle times, and improve quality and customer satisfaction. This includes estimating expected benefits, and establishing KPIs and targets.
  • Lead the execution of these improvements across multiyear periods. Monitor and report on the progress of process improvement initiatives, and adjust plans as needed to ensure successful implementation.
  • Lead discussions with Credit Strategy & Standards groups, ROC groups, control functions, accounting specialists and analysts whilst representing R&R process transformation objectives
  • Ensure continuous improvement and methodical process oversight following implementation of process changes
  • Set up and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures, training programs, risks and controls selfassessments
  • Work in Agile pods to define business process requirements for technology solutions, identifying with Product Owners any opportunities to enhance and redevelop technology solutions
  • Act as R&R business partner to ingestion, mapping, and spreading teams within ROC; be the key point of contact for issues within the data mapping and adjustment processes; partner with ROC leadership to regularly review process metrics and optimize improvements
  • Central role in related changemanagement plans as appropriate for process and technology enhancements_
  • Lead changemanagement within R&R, including to establish a culture of continuous improvement by owning the ongoing streamlining of financial data mapping and adjustments requirements (e.g., CFG nonstandard adjustments)
  • Create training, communication plans and champion rollout plans for key process and technology enhancements in partnership with senior leaders, change champions, Professional Development & Training, and the People teams to help colleagues understand and adopt new processes and procedures
  • Work with senior management to further integrate Design Thinking, Lean Six Sigma and Agile management approaches and behaviors that develops and embeds a culture of continuous process improvement
  • Collaborate closely with other process teams to ensure consistency of approach and share standard processes
  • 5+ years' of proven experience in roles focused on driving largescale to enterpriselevel process improvement, transformation, and organizational change initiatives, preferably within digital or technology transformation initiatives
  • Minimum Green Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma
  • Proficient in process tools like Lucidchart and/or Visio
  • Proficient in Agile methodologies
  • Highly proficient communication skills to simplify complex themes and present recommendations to senior leadership
  • Ability to influence, navigate ambiguity and drive consensus to achieve objectives


The Ratings Process and Data team drives data and process design and change management for scalable digitization across critical business initiatives including workflows, analytics and ESG services.


The group works collectively with stakeholders in other lines of business, Product Management, User Experience designers, developers, control functions and others to document current state processes, define critical requirements for improvement, identify and map required data elements and lead simplification initiatives.

The group works in an Agile, product-centric operating model that delivers digital solutions and increment
