We are seeking a Head of Legal to join our team of innovators. In this role, together with your team, you enable operational excellence and contribute to scaling a successful AI/IoT company.

As a direct report to our co-founding COO and a close advisor to our entire C-Level, you provide strategic direction and clarify legal priorities while making sure to support various stakeholders across the organization hands-on with day-to-day legal advice.

Your Impact:

Structure & Quality: You will deal with a wide range of complex matters, spanning multiple domains from corporate law to contract and tender law as well as labor law. You prioritize well and can be pragmatic about less impactful topics in order to keep all important balls in the air. You automate processes wherever possible to eliminate tasks.
Strategy: You set up our legal structures to support KONUX' mid

- and long-term goals, and you take responsibility for strategic topics, such as our compliance and IP strategy.

Leadership & Collaboration: You coach and spar with your team (initially: one senior legal counsel, one working student), and you build the team as required by company growth. You contribute to internal planning and goalsetting, and you coordinate external legal advisors, but don't forget to keep a healthy amount of handson work going.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have:

You are curious to understand new technologies and you love working on a broad range of topics simultaneously
You are organized, analytical, pragmatic, you have business sense and a strong handson attitude
You have several years fulltime work experience as a Team Lead or Head of Legal in startups or SMEs
You have excellent knowledge in corporate law and at least one other domain out of the following: contract, IP/IT (AI, SaaS), or tender law
You are familiar with MS Office and/or G-Suite and will easily learn new tools (like Slack, Confluence etc.)
You are a German qualified lawyer (Volljurist/in bzw. Syndikusrechtsanwalt/anwältin) and working proficiency in English and German
