Your Role- Conduct interdisciplinary research with team members and colleagues from other institutes and industrial partners around the world about the following topics: Design paradigms of explainable AI- Formation and measurement of trust through digital biomarkers using state of the art gaze and EEG assessment technologies- Usage of mixed reality in vision care o Role of gaze data in augmented reality- Publish the results the results of the conducted studies at top tier journals (e.g. CHI/ CHIplay, VRST, UIST, SIGGRAPH)- Facilitate the internal exchange between different disciplines (HCI, AI, Optometry and Ophthalmology experts)- be part of the EU Project MAIA- the position is limited to three years


Your Profile- A PhD in a field allows starting in a post-doctorate thesis in preferably human computer interaction or a relevant scientific discipline such as neuroscience, psychology, computer science Solid experience of statistical analysis of psychophysical data (especially gaze and behavioural data) using Matlab, Python or R.- Experience working with gaze data and how to conduct eye tracking experiments using stand-alone devices (e.g.

SMI, Tobii Pro, Pupil Labs) as well as mobile eye tracking devices and how to interpret and analyse gaze data- Experience in working in an international setting- Good writing and communication skills- Very good English language skills
