Job Description:


In order to support our strong growth and to build a best-in-class Corporate Finance function, we are looking to hire an experienced and highly motivated IFRS Expert who will assume the position as Senior IFRS Accounting Specialist for the SSU group.


The Senior IFRS Accounting Specialist will be a sparring partner to the Director of Accounting and Reporting on matters relating to the IFRS.

This role is considered is a critical member of the Accounting and Reporting team reporting into the Director of Accounting and Reporting.


Key Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Assess, conclude on and document accounting treatment for transactions as well as contracts review and assessment.
  • Work directly with the external auditors on accounting positions.
  • Support upcoming M&A projects
  • Preparing and steering the function towards a successful Post-IPO accounting and financial reporting setup
Act as sparring partner to the Director of Accounting and Reporting and local Business Units in technical accounting matters.


Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 4 years of experience and a strong technical accounting knowledge of IFRS and specifically IFRS 2, IFRS 9 and IAS 3
  • Big 4 background is a plus
  • Experience with SOX is a plus
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, expected to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with crossfunctional team members at all levels.
  • Highest level of integrity and honesty.
  • Excellent communication skills in English. German skills are a plus.
