With continuously increasing numbers, income from Neighbouring Rights has become a significant revenue stream for the worldwide music industry.

As a
Coordinator (f/m/d) in the
Neighbouring Rights Team at BMG you will be in the middle of the exciting and dynamic developments that require close relationships with Collective Management Organizations (such as GVL, PPL, SoundExchange etc.), record labels and other partners.

This is your opportunity to become an expert in the field while working closely with local and international teams at BMG.


Your Mission
You will play an important role in ensuring accurate revenue allocation to BMG.

Your main responsibility will be to proactively claim the label share of Neighbouring Rights for our repertoire at the CMOs, to process rights conflicts and to update relating data in our ticketing system.


Your Responsibilities

  • Analyze and solve rights conflicts at CMOs in 50+ countries.
  • Execute claiming exercises at various CMOs.
  • Process rights conflicts and claiming tasks in our ticketing system.
  • Work with metadata, royalties, finance, marketing and legal teams worldwide for successful conflict resolution.

Your Profile

  • You have a basic understanding of recorded music rights and metadata.
  • You are able to organise and manipulate large data sets in Excel.
  • You have excellent attention to detail, as well as and strong organisational and analytical skills.
  • You have a talent for organization and the ability to prioritise to frequent and strict deadlines.
  • Your English skills are excellent. German is desirable and/or any other European language skills are a plus.
  • Your capability to work in different areas and cultures is very strong.
  • Ideally, you have previous Neighbouring Rights experience.
