Overview

Essential Job Duties

Responsible for supporting the receipt, custody, issue, safeguarding, accounting for, and, when necessary, the destruction or COMSEC material.
Assists with shipping cryptographic products and key material weighing up to 50 pounds.
Use the Distributed Information Security (INFOSEC) Accounting System (DIAS).
Performs Field Tamper Recovery (FTR), upgrading cryptographic device firmware, and ensuring the interoperability of firmware versions between enterprise encryptors.
Knowledge of the General Dynamics TACLANE line of In-Line Network Encryptors (INE), to include the KG175A, KG175D and KG175G.
Installs, deploys, uses, and manages the General Dynamics GEM-X High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE) Manager.
Plans and executes Out-OfBand-Key Transfer (OOBKT) for remote rekey of enterprise encryptors on multiple networks using GEM-X HAIPE Manager. Requires experience in Suite-A and Suite-B network environments, architecture and key material requirements.
Reads and interprets complex network drawings and documentation as they relate to cryptographic requirements.
Performs handson installation, maintenance, configuration and troubleshooting of COMSEC equipment, as required.
Programs and operates approved key fill devices, including KIK20 and KIK30 and AN/CYZ10.
Performs Over-TheAir-Transfer (OTAT) of key material to remote sites using the General Dynamics Sectera vIPer and the L3 Secure Terminal Equipment (STE).
Provides training and COMSEC oversight to local and remote site personnel for the KG175A, KG175D, KG175G, KG245X, Sectera vIPer, Sectera GSM, Sectera Wireline Terminal, STE, DTD, SDS (KIK20) and RASKL (KIK30).
Participates in special projects as required.

Minimum Requirements

An active inscope TOP SECRET security clearance
BA/BS Degree in computer science/systems, information systems/ technology, engineering/engineering technology, software engineering/ programming, management, natural sciences, social sciences, mathematics, Education, English or Literature or business/finance.
Minimum of four years of previous handson experience working with COMSEC, of which at least one year must be specialized.
Education and experience requirements may be substituted with:
No degree and 11 years general experience of which at least five years is specialized.
Must be able to obtain certification as a Technical Expert by the German Government under the Technical Expert Status Accreditation (TESA) process.
Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) Certification
Must be a graduate of the COMSEC Custodian Course OR component equivalent course
Must be willing to work overtime, after hours, holidays, and weekends, as necessary.
Demonstrated ability to work independently or under only general direction.

Preferred Qualifications

ITIL Foundation certification
Demonstrated experience with COMSEC account administration/management.
Knowledgeable in the mission and OCONUS operational requirements of the US Air Force

Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

May require periods of nontraditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends
