WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
This internship will provide you with a unique place to acquire deep insight on corporate and financial markets. Therefore, it constitutes a gateway for international opportunities. You will join a multi-cultural team with substantial exposure to banking units across all continents.
You will be an integral part of our Compliance team for our German/Austrian/ Swiss/ Nordics clients having exposure to a variety of areas within Compliance. You will assist in the review and update of compliance policies and procedures and in the identification of compliance risks and the mitigation thereof. You will participate in training and awareness raising of staff on compliance issues. You will assist in the preparation of reports and presentations to senior management and employees. Finally, you will interact with experienced legal and business staff and get first-hand insights into our corporate governance.
EDUCATION
✓ Degree in Law, Economics or similar preferable.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
✓ Strong academic track record in Law/Economics/ commercial experience and understanding appreciated/ international applicants are welcome.
✓ High level of integrity, intelligence, initiative, loyalty, and motivation to learn, work and grow in a multicultural team.
✓ Proactive behaviour, strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, team player.
✓ Ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team.
✓ Relevant work experience at banks, international law firms and/ or corporate welcome.
✓ Highly proficient in spoken and written English. German desirable.
✓ Microsoft Office Package, proficiency level.
✓ Commitment to Banco Santander's high ethical standards
Our internships last preferably six months. The precise period will be arranged individually. Please attach a copy of your supporting documentation in English and indicate your availability. Applicants who are not available during the specified period will not be considered.
