A Snapshot of Your Day


As a working student in the strategy group of Controls & Digitalization, you are part of an international team that works on topics such as strategy development and implementation, transformation, and communication.


In the beginning you will take over modules of projects and work together with colleagues from different Regions and Functions.

A typical project goal is to develop a strategic recommendation for an entry into a certain business segment.

You will use internal data (e.g., portfolio reporting, sales pipeline) and external data (e.g., market studies, competitor analysis), as well as interviews for evaluation.

You will elaborate a recommendation and discuss with colleagues and management. Once the decision is made, and the strategy gets implemented, you also support in tracking the progress.

Tools you will use during the day are especially Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, Teams.


Topics will be of great variety, from growth to operational excellence, from strengthening the position in an established business fields to entering a new one.


How You'll Make an Impact

  • Support selected projects with analyses, information collection and compilation of presentations
  • Execute market and competitor analyses, business intelligence, operational excellence, and data analytics (e.g., Tableau)
  • Drive/coordinate own smaller strategy projects/modules for the Business together with other Regions / Functions
  • Bring in your outside in perspective to challenge the status quo and approaches taken
  • Present your results to senior management
  • Gain a sound understanding of the Controls & Digitalization markets, business and the economics of energy transition and a fun experience with a great team that is going beyond

What You Bring

  • Undergraduate degree, ideally in Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Engineering, other fields of study are also welcome
  • Excellent academic results
  • First working experience during an internship in industry, consulting; or comparable
  • Consultinglike skill set (problem structuring, analyzing, and solving), strong communication and social skills as well as high motivation
  • Strong IT skills, including PowerPoint, Excel and other data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau)
  • Fluent English, German language competency is a plus but not a necessity
  • Availability for about 1620 hours per week during the semester, more hours possible during semester breaks

About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
