    The "Future Automotive Manufacturing" department is responsible for the development and evaluation of new automation technologies at the "Production Network MO" center. Our "Future Manufacturing Technologies" team focuses on robotics and artificial intelligence. In ARENA6, a research association on the campus of the University of Stuttgart, we are working with partners from research and industry on the production of tomorrow.

    A research project will investigate the automated handling of objects in intralogistics using intelligent robot systems. As part of the internship, an innovative concept for the material flow in intralogistics is to be co-designed in order to realize the autonomous handling of different objects and thus lay the foundation for versatile production. Areas of activity include the selection of suitable system components, the construction of technology carriers for demonstrators and the design of intelligent safety concepts for sensitive robots.

    These are some of the challenges you will face:

  • Technical analysis of intralogistics processes in automotive production
  • Creation of concepts for future production processes
  • Planning, design and construction of technology carriers
  • Evaluation of the field of application of modern sensor technology for safety concepts in the production environment
  • Qualifikationen
  • Degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, automation technology or a comparable course of study
  • Previous knowledge in the field of robotics desirable
  • Confident handling of CAD programs
  • Strong conceptual skills and analytical way of thinking
  • Basic programming skills (e.g. Python, C++) an advantage
  • Confident written and spoken German and English skills
