Duties:

Maintains general change fund, petty cash funds (dollar & euro), bingo funds and cards and performs daily safe counts.

Reconciles daily receipts to Individual Cashier Reports, prepares Consolidate Cashier Reports and makes daily deposits to central cashier cage at determined location.

Assures adherence to cash-handling and recording procedures and reports deviations to supervisor. Ensures all income and expenditures are applied to the appropriate cost centers and general ledger accounts.

Prepares Transfer Between Cost Centers (TBCC), receiving reports, purchase order requests and disbursement requests. Verifies monthly preliminary financial statements for accuracy and submits changes and corrections.

Updates cash register and Point of Sales system (Rec Trac), pulls detailed register reports on a daily and weekly basis and assures daily and end-of-month closeout is accomplished.

Prepares reports and spreadsheets for budgeting, end-of-month reconciliations, inventory, after-action reports, and varied uses as required by management. Accomplishes resale inventories and inputs counts for reconciliation. Trains staff on established funds handling procedures, cashier duties, cash counts, and responsibilities along with concessionaires as required.

Corresponds with the resource flight concerning Ramstein Community Center financial issues. Must be able to maintain the responsibility of a NAF P-card.

Performs other duties as required.

    Qualifying Experience:
Applicant must have experience in responsible clerical or office work.

Required to be computer literate with intermediate to advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite to include Microsoft Word and Excel.

Some knowledge of double entry accounting and time keeping utilizing a time management system is desired. Must be able to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing. Accurate accounting skills and experience in cash handling are essential. Practical knowledge of customer service standards and cashier and funds handling. Ability to safeguard and handle cash.


Education:

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.


FOREIGN EDUCATION:
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.

You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S.

education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
