Beschreibung

The Competence Center of Cultural Heritage Digitization at Fraunhofer IGD develops and automates 3D scanning technologies, including image-based 3D reconstruction.

While high-quality 3D reconstructions can often take hours or days to compute, digitizing objects with an autonomous robotic scanning system requires a fast feedback mechanism.

For this reason, a custom 3D reconstruction workflow is being developed to provide fast incremental updates.
