Beschreibung

Duties:


  • Performs preventive maintenance services including electrical safety, calibration, and performance verification to ensure medical devices and is equipment safe to operate and employable for patient care.
  • Operates invasive and noninvasive Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TDME) to service and repair assorted medical devices and equipment.
  • Stays up to date on regulatory guidance, such as the Safe Medical Devices Act and the Code of Federal Regulations, 29 CFR Safety in the Workplace.
  • Orders repair parts and accessories to perform repair functions, which includes documenting the extent and cost of repairs.
  • Develops and documents preventative maintenance procedures to complete the inspection.
  • Performs software diagnosis to determine failure between software and hardware.
  • Uses databases and other resources to obtain, analyze, and interpret data for statistical trending and/or reporting.

  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • Applicants must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) requirements as outlined in the DoD Instruction
  • Position requires completion of a preemployment physical and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • Position may require lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Position requires the incumbent to possess, or obtain and maintain a valid regular or official passport.
  • Position is designated as Emergency Essential and must not be vacated during national emergency or war. May request incumbent transfer from Ready Reserve to Standby Reserve status or discharge if applicable.
  • Subject to periodic changes in work schedule due to mission requirements.
  • Will perform as staff duty office on a rotating basis and will require work after normal duty hours, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Specialized Experience**: One year of specialized experience which includes
-
(1) identifying and repairing medical equipment failures;
-
(2) performing preventative maintenance services and medical equipment inspections and
-
(3) using Test,Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) to service medical devices and equipment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10).-
Education:Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

  • U.S. citizens overseas under ordinarily resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement.
  • If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a spacerequired basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation , the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI and DoDM
  • If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler, but for the child's age, is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a spacerequired basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation , then the Military Department responsible for EIS will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI and DoDM
  • Employees (and family members) who require medical/dental care in overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for care. Access for civilian employees/families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a spaceavailable and reimbursable basis only.
  • Pay retention may be offered to selected applicants for positions at overseas locations. Pay retention will not be offered as an incentive for employees moving between overseas positions.
  • The initial length of this overseas tour is 3 years.
