Introduction:

quantilope is looking for an Interim Senior Legal Counsel/Director Legal to join our Legal Team.

The Interim Senior Legal Counsel/Director Legal will take over the responsibility for all legal matters within the global quantilope organisation, leading a team of currently three Legal Counsels and one Working Student.

In this role, you will advise the entire organisation on legal questions and bring in your experience to further develop the legal department and its employees.

This role is a parental leave replacement and is therefore limited to a fixed term until July 2024. The role is part-time suitable, available as a remote or hybrid position and reports directly to the CEO.

What you will be doing:

Lead the Global Legal Team (one in US, three in Germany) and contribute to the professional development of each team member
Own the strategic development of the legal department
Take over budget responsibility and other administrative tasks
Manage relationships with external advisers and lawyers
Negotiate nonstandard agreements
Report on legal issues and risks to the CEO and the Leadership Board
Take the lead in advising all departments on strategic projects that require legal involvement (e.g. M&A, new work projects, new technical developments, etc.)

Who you are:

You have a legal background (Staatsexamen, Master of Laws, or similar)
You have proven leadership skills and practise a leadership style that allows your team to make the most out of their talents and skills
You have professional experience in at least one of these fields: data privacy, employment law, IT law
You speak german and english on business level
If you are interested in a parttime position, you are able to work at least 2,5 days per week and have the flexibility to attend some meetings accommodating the US time zone.
