In order to support the UX/UI design team, Airbus Commercial is looking for a Specialist in Airline & Cabin Crew Operations Apps (M/F/d)**
Your new Team:We are the Internet of Things, Platforms and Digital Solutions team, part of the Cabin & Cargo Engineering, located in Hamburg and with close links to other Airbus locations like China, Singapore and Toulouse.


We are an innovative, international and "start-up" like multiskilled team with Product Managers, Software Architects, System Engineers, Business Developers, Project Managers, Experts, etc.

Our mission is to innovate, prototype and demonstrate new technologies and business concepts around onboard connectivity.

Your location
You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Define CONOPS (Concept of Operations) to seamlessly integrate cabin and ground systems (boarding, catering, cargo, etc.) with Airline OCC needs.
  • Drive the introduction of new cabin crew & cargo functions onto Airbus cabin management products (FAP, CIDS) and as standalone apps hosted on our Open Software Platform.
  • Anticipate the impact of new technological trends like broadband SatCom connectivity, BYOD and IoT to the cabin ecosystem
  • Define a UI strategy for cabin digital products and steer the implementation of open interface standards for 3rd party apps, allowing competitive short product update cycles and customization.
  • Design solutions to optimize crew operations and service by reducing crew or improving service with the same number of crew.
  • Ensure that digital products meet aviation authorities requirements for operations, airworthiness, and information security.
  • You can expect a highly visible and transverse role in close cooperation with the Connectivity Design Office, Cabin Electronics, Customer Services, Cabin Program, IM, etc. You will be connected to our internal network of technical Experts in all domains and you will have the opportunity to develop as an internal Expert yourself. _

Desired skills and qualifications

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Aeronautical Engineering or similar.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in solution development for airline operations and/or cabin crew.
  • Strong knowledge of UX/UI and digital solution design.
  • Knowledge of airline operations (OCC), turnaround management and ground operations including cargo/luggage, passenger boarding/deboarding and catering.
  • Knowledge of airline CRM, loyalty program management and onboard retail.
  • Knowledge about cabin BFE (Buyer-Furnished Equipment) and their maintenance.
  • Experience with Scaled Agile methodology is a plus.
  • This job will require sporadic trips to other Airbus sites and business partners. _
