The media sales division of smartclip will merge with RTL AdConnect and G&J iMS to form RTL AdAlliance, an international advertising and technology sales champion.

Once the merger is complete, smartclip will focus strictly on technology development.

Your role
Business Product Managers play a key role in our product and technology delivery. They act as an intermediary between smartclip's main stakeholders and the development teams of smartclip's leading adtech platform.


Do you feel excited about how the Digital and the Television industry are coming together when it comes to advertising technology and ad serving? Then you are in the right place.

You will be responsible for guiding and providing our leading broadcaster clients with the right insights, and products for joining both worlds together.

A new challenge has developed with the digitisation of traditional TV and radio advertising:

while traditional digital advertisements have been designed to fill an ad slot with a single ad, modern ad decision systems need to be capable of filling ad slots with a sequence of ads that must follow complex rule sets — creating the need for hybrid models of digital and linear ads.

This is a new field in digital advertising and your role will be in charge of pioneering solutions that address this problem.


Part of your responsibility will be to work together with different stakeholders to prioritise and assess potential opportunities and incoming requirements.

The wide range of tasks make this one of the most colourful and varied roles in our company.

This role not only requires an extensive understanding of the business, but also a solid knowledge of ad serving technology, and excellent communication skills.


Your position in our team

  • Enable European broadcaster to monetize their Video and Audio Inventory.
  • Build new and improve existing Ad Serving platform and datadriven demand products (Forecasting, Campaign Analysis and Optimization tools, etc.) for variety of international broadcasters and publishers.
  • Proactively discover current business needs and adapt technology market standards.
  • Understand different stakeholder needs and requirements and harmonize them against company's strategic topics.
  • Continuously validate product success.
  • Continuously gather industry knowledge, customer and stakeholder feedback, and derive insights from data.
  • Prioritize opportunities according to impact on business objectives, effort, and confidence, and facilitate roadmap discussions.
  • Own the product discovery process to create solutions that solve customer problems and deliver business value.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy standards.
  • Help operations, product marketing and support teams, e.g. by supporting internal documentation and onepagers.

Your profile

  • At least 2 years of experience in Agile Product Management in adtech/martech, ideally in the field of digital video advertising
  • Good understanding of audio/video ad formats and related tools
  • Strong customer empathy, with the ability to transform complex data and customer insights into a prioritized roadmap
  • Business objectivedriven working method and affinity for data
  • High degree of organisational skills, individual initiative, and personal accountability
  • Proven track record with launching new products or features in partnership with the technical teams and business units
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire business owners to drive collaboration and alignment
  • Fluent in German and English, written and verbally. Any additional language (Dutch, Italian and Spanish) is a big plus
  • Higher or Academic professional education or experience level
