Satair - an Airbus Services Company (100% subsidiary of Airbus) - is looking for a
Support Demand Planner (d/f/m) to join the Planning team in Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel, Germany at the earliest possible start date.


The Planning Team is responsible for sizing the global inventory for all Satair warehouses to deliver the required material availability to support after sales commercial and support commitments.


It is our mission to secure spares availability for our Product, Service and Support obligations, covering all aircraft Programs worldwide.

Your responsibilities will focus on the Demand Planning perimeter for RSPs (Request for Stock Planning) - managing the material requirements delivered via our Program Support organization, and integrating them into our Operational Planning perimeter.

RSPs can cover the material requirements for demands arising from unexpected in-service events, retrofits and upgrades not visible in our existing Planning forecasts.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Control the quality and validate the financial impacts of the RSPs entering Satair Planning, by combining supply chain and aircraft operations expertise.
  • Act as the interface between Planning and diverse organisations in the RSP process, including Program Support, Controlling, Warehouse & Logistics, Procurement, and Sourcing.
  • Translate validated material requirements resulting from the RSP process into forecasts towards Operational Planning by also utilizing new big data and analytical tools.
  • Management of the full lifecycle of the RSP request including monitoring, reporting of inventory and availability.
  • Support to projects allocated under the RSP Demand Planning perimeter.

Your boarding pass

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, business administration, business informatics or equivalent
  • Solid understanding of supply chain management and ability to analyse processes from a financial perspective
  • First experience in a similar or technical environment, ideally within an After Sales or an Engineering environment is
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office and SAP.
  • Technical knowledge of aircraft and/or Engineering Data.
  • First experience with SAP and data analytics and programming languages (such as Python) are desirable

As a person

  • Ability to act as a strong communicator and you are at ease presenting your finding to a senior management level
  • Ability to manage stakeholders in a project environment and you are able to get validation and buyin
  • Solid level of English, German is a plus.
  • This role will involve some travel for business once to twice per year and as such you must be able to travel accordingly
