Company Overview


We are working on behalf of a leading renewable energy company who are seeking a dynamic Head of O&M to optimise the performance and reliability of their solar assets in Germany.


Position Overview
As the Head of O&M, you'll oversee utility-scale solar projects' operation, maintenance, and performance optimisation. Reporting to the Executive Leadership Team, you'll develop strategies to maximise energy production and asset value, leading a team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement O&M policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary O&M team, fostering safety and continuous improvement.
  • Establish performance metrics to monitor operational performance and reliability.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project handover and commissioning.
  • Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
  • Manage relationships with thirdparty service providers and contractors.
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory requirements, implementing innovative solutions.
  • Prepare and manage the O&M budget, identifying costsaving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Asset Management and Performance Analysis teams for continuous improvement.
  • Represent the company in meetings with clients, investors, regulators, and industry stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in utilityscale solar O&M.
  • Strong technical expertise in solar PV systems, inverters, and associated O&M practices.
  • Experience in managing O&M teams and implementing O&M strategies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, performance monitoring tools, and asset management software.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in Germany.
