Role Summary:


The Staff Accountant reports to the Controller and supports the preparation of financial reports and statements, quarterly auditor requests, payroll processing, and various other financial initiatives to meet company objectives.

The position requires an individual to have advanced MS Excel skills and a solid comfort level in report writing capabilities within ERP programs.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Assists with the preparation of monthly financial package
  • Assists with providing documentation for quarterly auditor requests
  • Prepares biweekly payroll
  • Prepares periodic payroll reports
  • Performs recurring accounting tasks
  • Identifies opportunities to leverage software system efficiencies
  • Ad
  • Hoc projects and other duties as assigned and required

Education & Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Over 2 years of proven work experience within accounting and finance

Required Skills & Abilities:


  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Knowledge or experience preparing payroll
  • Good critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Highly effective communicator (up, across, down) both written and orally
  • Ability to deliver results in a very busy environment
  • Understanding of Clinical Research and Life Sciences would be preferred
