Manufacturing and Global Procurement > Regional Procurement NCE> Construction & Transport Procurement NCE

We are a diverse and flexible team of focused purchasing colleagues covering Vestas' NCE region (North, Central and Eastern Europe).

We support our business to deliver projects safely, on time, in budget, with the right quality by directing supplier selection for critical spend categories e.g.

Project Transport, Cranes, Installation teams, Balance of Plant (BOP) and other services related to windfarm construction.

We also handle complexity and the tail spend in our region by taking ownership of the Preferred Supplier List and running improvement projects.

As part of the team, you will be responsible for preparing procurement strategy for high value Construction & Transport spend (+500 million Euro annually) in the region.

You will be part of a progressive team, where your efforts and ability to create results and bring value, makes a difference, and has a direct business impact.

Responsibilities

The Senior Purchaser (f/m/d) is responsible for ensuring that we have sufficient subcontractor capacity available, ensuring that the subcontractors are working safely with the right quality level and at the best possible costs.

Additionally (f/m/d) should:

Lead Negotiation for Budgeting and Contracting for Construction & Transport scope with Subcontractors
Maintain fruitful relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders: Sales teams, Construction Project Managers, Supply Chain
Work closely with our global category managers
Identify and implement on opportunities to improve our Safety and Quality performance, reduce the TCO, streamline processes.
Drive continuous improvements in the way our team works

Qualifications

Minimum bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business studies. Transport/Logistics or Supply Chain major (preferred).
Solid experience with strong/recent focus on Strategic Sourcing.
Exposure to Transport & Logistics in offshore / Vessel procurement or renewable energy sector is beneficial.
Previous experience with handling high value spends in a progressive business environment

Competencies

Great interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
Confident in presenting and discussing procurement strategy with CXO level stakeholders
Positive and solutionoriented problem solver
Ability to prioritize and work in a busy environment
Fluent English essential, we also prefer knowledge of German or another European language
