Our department coordinates the technical part of investment projects at over 20 production sites around the world.
We are jointly responsible for the development, procurement and commissioning of machines with a total value of several million euros per year.
Our tasks include the further development and regular modernization of over 4000 production systems. Accordingly, our engineers work closely with external suppliers of industrial systems, control technology and sensors.The development work we do is particularly motivated by sustainability. We rely - among other things - on IoT technology, server-based HMIs and cloud-based data analysis. New sensor technologies and empirical algorithms allow us to predict malfunctions of individual components and avoid unplanned machine downtime.
In this exciting environment, we are now offering an internship with the option of a subsequent thesis. For the best possible learning experience, the internship should last - 6 months.
The tasks include:
- Research, e.g. for the selection of new sensor technology, control technology, suppliers
- Use cases for the use of new sensors (e.g. radar, LIDAR)
- CAD concept drawings for prototypes
- Creation of technical presentations
- Support for tests with new sensor technology and commissioning of prototypes
Profile:
- Students in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automation technology or similar
- Knowledge of CAD (AutoCAD)
- Experience in the fields of automation, robotics, sensor technology and machine programming (PLC) is welcome
- Confident handling of MS Officeprograms
- Very good knowledge of English and basic knowledge of German
- Intercultural sensitivity for our globally operating colleagues and suppliers, structured way of working and a handson mentality
