Your role

Within our engineering and digital projects, you are responsible for "design aspects" along the entire product development process by deriving concrete user needs from often vague ideas via workshops and/or other user research methods, creating storyboards, designs and prototypes to demonstrate ideas and features, testing them with users, and then turning them into successful products together with the frontend team
As Team Lead, you provide technical and disciplinary leadership including responsibility for capacity management, hiring needs and interviews, as well as learning and development for your team
You support the Innovation Design Cluster and our Project Owners in estimating UI/UX efforts in the context of proposal preparation as well as sprint planning and thereby champion the Human-Centered Design approach within our projects
You bring both your previous experience and new ideas and approaches to our Innovation Design Cluster and further develop our processes and specifications (e.g. templates for UX Ratings or UI Kits)

Your profile

University degree in UI/UX Design, Media Informatics, Web Design, Human Factors Engineering, Interaction / Graphic Design, or equivalent
At least 35 years of relevant experience in UI/UX conception and design of digital products (Web/App, ideally B2B/industrial context) with corresponding processes, standards, libraries and style guides, ideally in an agency or consulting environment or with other insights into the industrial environment
Ideally first leadership experience and enthusiasm for supporting your team members and guiding them in their development
Strong conceptual thinking skills, an eye for good design and user experience as well as a proficient use of design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch
Experience with agile teams/setups, the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time, and a feeling for switching situationally between functionalpragmatic and "hautedesign" solution approaches as well as a strong command of English language, German is a plus
