We are Klim, a Berlin-based clean-tech company revolutionizing climate protection by scaling regenerative agriculture in Germany and Europe.

We have launched the world's first digital platform for regenerative agriculture, which is already being utilized by thousands of farmers.

By marketing the associated climate protection services to companies, primarily in the food industry, we provide financial compensation to farmers for their regenerative practices and offer high-quality advisory services.

Supported by leading investors, including Atlantic Food Labs, Ananda Impact Ventures, and AgFunder, we are now expanding our team and seeking an Head of Agronomy with experience to help us continually improve our digital product.

Tasks

You will be responsible for building a team of internal and external consultants and experts for regenerative agriculture. In this role, you are a key player in realizing Klim's vision of promoting sustainable and future-oriented agriculture.

Holistic measure selection: Together with your team, you will design and develop digital and analog advisory or recommendation systems that support farmers in identifying suitable regenerative methods for their farm. In doing so, you take into account both economic and agronomic aspects farm individually.
Implementation support: Together with your team, you will develop approaches and processes to actively accompany and support farmers during the transition to regenerative practices.
Expanding the catalog of practices: Together with your team, you will work on expanding the catalog of regenerative agricultural practices on the Klim platform. This includes selecting suitable approaches to quantify the ecosystem services provided by these practices.
Interface management: You will work closely with the Digital Product Development, Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) and Farmer Sales teams to ensure optimal coordination of the various activities.

Requirements:

Relation to agriculture: You are passionate about agriculture and understand the challenges and needs of agricultural businesses, especially in arable and crop farming
Project responsibility: You have already proven that you can confidently take responsibility for crossteam projects and successfully lead them to their goal.
Team responsibility: You independently build up a multidisciplinary team, inspire and support your employees and thus ensure optimal team development. Ideally, you already have several years of experience in building highperformance teams.
Conceptual strength: You are driven to work with your team to develop innovative and creative solutions that meet the challenges of agriculture and ensure the longterm success of our company
Resilience: You have a pioneering spirit and tackle challenges in a dynamic market environment. With your expertise and solutionoriented thinking, you actively shape change.
Knowhow: You have your finger on the pulse and know the latest trends in arable and crop farming. You know how to continuously acquire new knowledge with your team and process it in such a way that it supports farmers in implementing regenerative agriculture.
Communication skills: You can present complex issues orally and in writing, both in German and in English.
