  • 8+ years of experience in mechatronics or electrical engineering in the areas of automotive, electrification, power systems, power electronics, control systems for industrial systems
  • Experience with the definition, ownership and successful execution of product strategies with crossfunctional / businessunit wide impact in the EV / EVSE industry.
  • Indepth knowledge of equipment safety and performance certifications required for operation of electrical systems (e.g. EVSE standards, communication, cybersecurity, etc.)

The Global Fleet and Products (GFP) team's mission is to provide the vehicles and services to become one of the biggest electric fleets and EV charging network worldwide.

We are building critical capabilities, tools and mechanisms in the area of EV Service Equipment (EVSE) to successfully manage the transformation to an electric fleet.

This role is business strategic, inherently cross-functional and requires working closely with engineering design, construction, operations, product and program management, software development, finance, legal and business development teams to develop long-term product strategies, drive programs of cross-organizational impact, bring products to launch, and enhance our existing portfolio, products and features.

Key job responsibilities

  • Define EVSE products business strategy, portfolio and standards for a business unit in Amazon EU, align teams and organizations across businesses and geographies, lead decisionmaking process with Senior Leadership.
  • Understand the key aspects of EVSE technologies in the areas of design (scalability, robustness, performance), operations (efficiency, usability, reliability), costs (capital and operations), predictive and preventative maintenance, safety and (cyber) security risks to identify gaps and propose areas of improvement.
  • Provide technical diligence on EVSE products, define and derive technical requirements and specifications for EVSE based on business strategy and customer needs (design, performance, safety, local regulations, load management strategies etc.)
  • Validate EVSE products to against internal technical and regulatory requirements to ensure bestinclass performance of our portfolio.
  • Lead partnerships with internal EV design teams and EV OEMs to ensure EVSE
  • EV compatibility and deployment configurations (hardware and software) are established
  • Manage endtoend product definition, validation and quality, including and not limited to:
  • Definition of technical specifications and product performance criteria with regional vendors and EVSE manufacturers to specify appropriate electrical equipment; review and approval of vendor submittals.
  • Creation, oversight and execution of test protocols and mechanisms to ensure EVSE interoperability with EVs, CPO and other Delivery Station, Sort Center and Fulfillment Center subsystems
  • For EVSE field issues, drive teams to supply failure mode and rootcause analysis, quantify customer exposure, provide remediation, and establish longterm corrective measures as well as preventing reoccurrence. Support maintenance and troubleshooting support, and operating procedure review.
  • Ability to work on concurrent projects and programs in multiple geographical regions and across business units.
  • Be a leader within the group as well as within internal and external teams that support the delivery station
