- Act as lead analyst on a portfolio of rated insurers, primarily based in Italy;
- Produce timely topical or market commentary in support of analytical work;
- Engage with investors, bankers, regulators and media on Fitch's credit rating and analytical views;
- Present analysis of rated insurers to Fitch's internal credit rating committees;
- Lead onsite meetings with insurance executive management teams; and
- Prepare and publish issuer and industry research reports.
- The ability to conduct business fluently in English and in Italian;
- Some experience of the insurance sector;
- Self-motivated professional who works well in a team environment;
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines;
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel; and
- Understanding of insurance and financial services regulation and reporting, particularly regulatory Solvency standards.
- Experience working within the Italian insurance sector either within firms, in consulting or in regulation, or as an analyst;
- Demonstrated proficiency in insurance accounting standards, especially IFRS accounting;
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of industry trends;
- Ability to communicate analysis and views in a cogent fashion;
- Fluency in other major European languages.
