Provides KUKA Robotics Canada Ltd's customers with high quality robotic/automation installation, troubleshooting, and repair services. Montreal-based.

  • site and/or telephone troubleshooting, repairs (electrical, mechanical, programming) and support of KUKA equipment on an as
  • needed basis.
  • Completes Field Service reports prior to leaving the customer's site with an accurate description of the problem reported/identified, the solution, and/or a complete list of all parts/options that may have been installed. Obtains the dated signature of the identified/authorized customer contact and supplies a copy to the customer.
  • Coordinates activities with customers/plant management as need to resolve scheduling and personnel issues
  • Provides multilevel lecture and laboratory training to customer and KUKA personnel as needed.
  • Develops proposal package, including estimates, service, support as required to meet customers' expectations; with collaboration of inside sales and technical resources as needed.
  • Assists the Assembly, Commissioning, Spare Parts, Shipping & Receiving teams when required to ensure ontime, complete and accurate deliveries.
  • Must understand and follow safety regulations as well as identify/report safety concerns observed at KUKA Robotics, customer and/or integrator sites.
  • Adheres to the Quality Systems and participates in continual improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Application Requirements:


  • Fluency in French and English is required.
  • Ability to commute to location in the Montreal/QC area is required.
  • Associate's degree from university or college diploma from a robotics or automation related curriculum and a minimum of 23 years of related robotic automation experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical theory, low voltage circuits, design and/or testing, set up and troubleshooting of robot and automation controls, AC/DC circuits and servo controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, electronic, etc. prints and other related technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of customer service for phone and facetoface contact.
  • Ability to maintain composure and remain objective and focused under high stress situations and tight timelines.
  • Computer, Robot (KRL or equivalent, VisualBasic, C+, C') and PLC (Siemens and Rockwell) programming skills/experience.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with PC based systems and information technologies (IT).
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada
  • Valid Vehicle Driver's License from the Canadian Province of residence free of any legal restrictions, required.
  • Valid Passport
  • Requires the ability to work within a flexible work/travel schedule.
  • Requires the ability to travel to customer sites on short notice and frequently requires the ability to work long hours to meet customer needs.
  • Requires ability to work assigned shift with flexibility to respond to call center needs outside of assigned shift (weekends and holidays) on short notice and per rotational basis. The ability to work an alternate/modified shift may be required.
