Responsibilities:


  • Observing and analyzing the procurement markets, developing and implementing sourcing strategies including preparing, conducting and concluding price, framework and contract negotiations
  • Developing purchasing strategies for capital expenditures (CAPEX)
  • Assessing, auditing and developing suppliers together with supplier quality engineers
  • Support technically challenging projects and investments in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Infrastructure and Testing in cooperation with Quality and Health Safety Environment (HSE) departments
  • Coordinate more complex contracts with the legal department
  • Conducting inquiries, price analyses and bid comparisons as well as projectspecific supplier search and selection
  • Collaboration with Corporate Purchasing at our Head Quarter in Weinheim

Qualifications:

  • Successfully completed studies in the field of electronics, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable discipline
  • Several years of practical experience in purchasing and in the production environment of an industrial company in the mechanical and plant engineering or automotive industries
  • Several years of purchasing experience in the area of indirect procurement (Indirect Material Procurement)
  • Sound knowledge of project management as well as process knowledge and methods in strategic purchasing
  • Knowledge of value analysis, value creation and target cost planning
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, negotiation skills and cost awareness as well as a high level of interest and understanding of technical contexts
  • Confident handling of MS-Office, experience with SAP (Materials Management) and purchasingspecific IT tools
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
