Responsibilities:

Observing and analyzing the procurement markets, developing and implementing sourcing strategies including preparing, conducting and concluding price, framework and contract negotiations
Developing purchasing strategies for capital expenditures (CAPEX)
Assessing, auditing and developing suppliers together with supplier quality engineers
Support technically challenging projects and investments in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Infrastructure and Testing in cooperation with Quality and Health Safety Environment (HSE) departments
Coordinate more complex contracts with the legal department
Conducting inquiries, price analyses and bid comparisons as well as projectspecific supplier search and selection
Collaboration with Corporate Purchasing at our Head Quarter in Weinheim

Qualifications:

Successfully completed studies in the field of electronics, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable discipline
Several years of practical experience in purchasing and in the production environment of an industrial company in the mechanical and plant engineering or automotive industries
Several years of purchasing experience in the area of indirect procurement (Indirect Material Procurement)
Sound knowledge of project management as well as process knowledge and methods in strategic purchasing
Knowledge of value analysis, value creation and target cost planning
Good communication and teamwork skills, negotiation skills and cost awareness as well as a high level of interest and understanding of technical contexts
Confident handling of MS-Office, experience with SAP (Materials Management) and purchasingspecific IT tools
Very good knowledge of German and English
