YOUR TEAM:


For the department Safety & Logic Features Driving Max/AD we are looking for a working student for the project "Highway Pilot Supervisor".

The Highway Pilot is a highly automated (L3/L4) driving function for the highway. The Supervisor is a subcomponent and a key element of the function's safety concept.

As a student employee, you will work directly on the implementation of ADAS/ AD systems of the next generation. You will support an international, agile development team of approx. 12 people in the definition of the functional behavior. The team usually works remotely.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:


  • Contribute to the definition of the functional behavior of a L3/L4 ADAS/AD system
  • Collect relevant scenarios for the assessment of the function
  • Research methods, algorithms and metrics relevant for the definition of the functional behavior
  • Support the conceptual development and evaluation of the abovementioned incl. documentation
  • Optionally, support the prototypical implementation of applicable methods etc. (e.g. in Python)

WHO YOU ARE:


  • Enrolled student in the field of engineering or similar
  • Basic knowledge in the field of ADAS/AD
  • Basic knowledge in programming
  • First practical experience in the field of system safety is a plus
  • Proficient in English (speaking and writing). German is a plus
  • Very good analytical understanding, creativity and the ability to think outside the box
  • Structured and independent work, ability to work in remote teams

NICE TO KNOW:


  • Mostly remote work
  • Duration: 6 months
  • 20 h/week, up to 35 h/week during semester break
