Duties:
This position serves as the Voucher Examiner (Certifying) for Mission Germany's Financial Management Center (FMC) with responsibility for auditing cash and non-cash payment vouchers prior to disbursement in order to effect accurate, timely, and proper payments in compliance with appropriations law, Department regulations, and post policies.
The Voucher Examiner (Certifying) works directly with Voucher Examiners, Financial Management Analysts, Accounting Technicians, and colleagues from customer Agencies to develop more efficient processes that preserve strong internal controls based on issues identified in the certification process.
In the absence of the Supervisory Voucher Examiner (Certifying), the incumbent assumes direct and indirect supervisory responsibility for all Locally Employed (LE) Staff within the Vouchering Unit.
The Voucher Examiner (Certifying) is supervised by the Supervisory Voucher Examiner and reviewed by the FMC Director.Qualifications and Evaluations:
