We are looking for highly motivated students to support us in developing computational tools for developing: Next Generation, High-Performance, Durable and Sustainable building materials.

The Center for Building Materials at the Technical University of Munich, located in Munich-Pasing (from 2024 Summer relocated to Garching), is one of the leading research institutes for building materials research in Germany.

We are currently looking for two student assistants (upto 8 hours per week each) to support the development of computational models, data structures and processing of experimental data gained in the lab.

We are developing state-of-the-art multiscale simulation models and machine learning tools for developing novel, sustainable building materials for the future.

Responsibilities:

Python programming
Setup of clear data structures from experimental data for further processing in python
Translation of existing analog and/or digital data into a Python framework
Support ongoing research projects and teaching

Your Profile:

Bachelor degree
Interest in computer programming and code development using python
High degree of personal responsibility and independent working style
Knowledge of computational methods and Machine Learning are beneficial but not obligatory
