Team Lead SAM Tool & Governance (M/F/d)


The role will have overall technical responsibility for the SAM tool & governance team within the Software Asset Management department as part of our Professional Services team in Crayon Central Europe.

You will be responsible to plan and execute the right processes and structures for our SAM Tool & Governance business to deliver valuable projects and support on both existing and new customers.

As part of the extended SCA management team, you will be a driving force for further developing high quality tool & governance delivery services.


Responsibility

General

  • Responsible for the strategic and operative development of the new team: SAM tool and governance
  • Establish a multiyear strategy for the team, resonating in customer success scenarios in the DACH region
  • Establish trusted relationships within the team, both locally and on a global level
  • Leading and upskilling a team of SAM consultants to delivery excellent customer support
  • Joint further development of the SAM division with the international Crayon member companies
  • Assuming responsibility for project planning incl. budget and resource allocation in coordination with the respective project leads

Link between the Team and Management

  • Escalate, report back, communicate needs and make sure the necessary topics are discussed and on the agenda. Ensure that Management is aware of hurdles and is able to help overcoming obstacles
  • Communicate Strategic Direction: Translate Crayon's Strategic Direction into feasible actions for the team members
  • Performing proxy duties in absence of SAM Manager

Management & Leadership

  • Maintain a high degree of professional proficiency, work to stay wellrespected among their peers and therefore expected to motivate and coach coworkers from a peertopeer standpoint
  • Provide daytoday operational guidance, is expected to understand what is needed of skills/tools/experience/knowhow needed in performing specific job tasks
  • Ensure that the team is optimally staffed to have enough delivery capacity in relation to demands and make sure to hire adequate profiles

Team Capabilities

  • Having an overview of the team members' knowledge, skills and talents, identify development needs & perform development measures if needed
  • Contribute to the team member's development through facilitating, coaching and training/workshops
  • Proactively pursue companywide collaboration
  • Ensure that the team has the tools to perform and reach goals
  • Attend and lead professional & departmental gatherings/events

Deliverables

  • Report to Management (Forecasts, Budgets, Utilization/Sales)
  • Determine team KPIs and respective monitoring
  • Internal/external stakeholder management
  • Execute on and support maintaining best practice SAM tool & governance services

Requirements:

- +5 years of relevant experience in SAM tools and related services around

  • Ideally first experience in a Team Lead position
  • Successful track record in complex SAM tools projects
  • Superb interpersonal skills and team player mentality
  • Excellent English and German language skills
