Your mission:


  • Sustain and grow our internal fungal strain bank
  • Prepare inoculum and supervise seed lines for fermentation runs
  • Prepare relevant media and precultures for diverse R&D experiments
  • Setup reactors / fermenters for trials from lab to pilot scale
  • Take and process samples from fermentation trials to gain knowledge from every fermentation runs
  • Write, review and update SOPs to consolidate internal knowhow and ensure structured and reproducible workflows
  • Support in maintaining and fixing laboratory equipment

Your profile:


  • Training as BTA or BSc with focus on Bioengineering, Process engineering or equivalent
  • 6+ years of experience working in a lab and pilot environment
  • 4+ year of experience running fermentation and biocatalysis trials at different scale
  • Handson, flexible and pragmatic mindset
  • Familiar with analytical methods such as UVvis, HPLC, GC-MS, cell dry weight measurement, etc.
  • Familiar with general safety guidelines and working protocols pertaining to the work in a biological and chemical lab
  • Effective team player with a solutionoriented mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc ) and other devicespecific software relevant in a lab environment
  • Fluent in English and German
