The Cancer Research Center Cologne Essen was founded to lead cancer medicine in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) to a top international level through internationally visible, excellent expertise in cancer research with a strong focus on data science in oncology, translational cancer research and computational cancer biology.

Both CCCE partner sites Cologne and Essen are oncological centers of excellence of the German Cancer Aid, the Center for Integrated Oncology (CIO) Cologne and the West German Cancer Center (WTZ) Essen.

The CCCE leads the Excellence Network Cancer Medicine for NRW, a unique initiative in Germany for create cutting-edge cancer research.

Overall, the CCCE intends to exploit its potential to translate patient-oriented research into personalized cancer medicine.

The position is suitable for staffing with part-time employees.
