Strategy and Innovation (SI) is a central division reporting to the Munich Re Group CEO. SI's worldwide activities focus on strategy development, strategy implementation (incl. organizational development), global sales & distribution, and central business development (incl. global innovation management and corporate climate center).

Global Sales & Distribution (GSD) supports Munich Re's RI sales community in their markets and client relationships. With our global mandate for reinsurance, we cover all reinsurance markets and divisional units.

In addition, GSD is responsible for Public Sector Business Development and Corporate Broker Management as well maintaining an information exchange and dotted line with primary insurance as well as other Munich Re Group companies.

The position is to be filled as soon as possible.

The role can be offered on a part-time or full time basis, however to be distributed over 5 working days per week.

The hybrid way of working is fully supported and lived at GSD and we encourage flexibility, while at the same time expecting accountability.


Your Job

  • Supporting the department's management in various administrative matters, including planning and coordinating appointments and travel, booking and expense accounting for business trips, contact management with internal/external stakeholders (including brokers and supranational organizations)
  • Managing financial accounting for department and supporting managers in expense planning, cost controlling
  • Organization and support for external conferences as well as clientrelated events (supporting GSD Event Management Team): e.g. Monte Carlo, Baden-Baden, Oktoberfest, cDays, Advance Program, etc.
  • Managing team internal matters, e.g. distribution lists, absences, magazine subscriptions, memberships, GSD Pool inbox as well as team events, e.g. team workshops and offsites, team training sessions
  • Supporting the setup and maintenance of our intranet presence, including the Sales Net and Sales Yammer site
  • Collaborating and supporting the whole Technical Assistant team

Your Profile

  • Experience in working as (technical/executive) assistant
  • Excellent skills to interact and communicate (written and verbal) with internal and external stakeholders
  • High reliability and integrity as well as initiative, commitment and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Serviceoriented with good understanding of requirements for meeting guest and executives
  • High degree of selfmotivation, assertiveness and team spirit
  • Confident manner, negotiating skills and the ability to develop and foster professional and personal relationships at the senior/top management level
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office 365 tools
  • Fluent English skills
