Essential Duties

Plans, directs, and controls import activities on a daytoday basis.
Develops and maintains relationships with key customers and key suppliers resolving concerns, interacting with customer service, operations and sales personnel to resolve any conflicts on a timely basis.
Supervises import documentation.
Oversee obtaining and processing of Customs release and other government agency releases as appropriate, arranging delivery, and invoicing the import Accounts to their SOP.
Supervise coordination of the release of goods from the carrier, customs or other governmental agency examinations that may be required.
Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Position may require extended periods of sitting, computer use, standing and walking.
Some light lifting may be required in some instances.

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES

Understanding of Customs regulations, tariffs and interpretations
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must have excellent client service skills, responding promptly and professionally to client needs and requests for service and assistance.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of U.S. currency, weight,

- volume and distance measurements

Must be detail oriented with good organizational skills.
Strong computer skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 5 years related experience.
Minimum 3 years industry experience preferred.
Minimum three years supervisory experience required.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

Professional certification may be required in some areas.
