The Cultivated B is a highly innovative and science-driven biotechnology and bioengineering company which focuses on scaled alternative protein production and cellular agriculture technologies to systematically identify and develop new molecular resources like cell lines, growth
- and differentiation media and novel proteins. In addition, we develop high-quality bioengineering technologies and products such as bioreactors for R&D and industrial upstream processing and tools and procedures to optimize downstream processing.


We are running laboratories from Germany and North America focusing on the most vibrant fields of research ranging from cell biology to mechanical and chemical engineering to drive the next industrial revolution.

Committed to industrially scale alternative protein production we operate large production facilities for bioreactors and proteins in North America.

Our customers are biotechnology-, pharma-, cosmetics-, food production-, agriculture companies. Companies for alternative protein production and cultivated meat will contribute to our customer portfolio. Positioned to shape future protein markets, TCB also addresses new entrants in plant
- and cell-based food and beverage production incl. but not limited to cultivated meat.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced:

Head of Finance (M/F/d)**As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing the finance strategy of TCB Group in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).


Your Responsibilities

  • Design and execute the finance strategy in alignment with the CFO to support TCB Group's overall objectives and growth plans,
  • Ensure a smooth and successful insourcing of financial accounting from external service providers to an inhouse team,
  • Lead the Forecasting and Budgeting Process in alignment with organizational goals,
  • Oversee the monthly closing of the German GmbH, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies,
  • Coordinate the global monthly reporting process, including deviation analysis,
  • Prepare monthly and yearly Group Financial Statements according to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS),
  • Initiate transparency to facilitate proper decisionmaking across the organization,
  • Prepare presentations for Group Management and Board Meetings, effectively communicating financial performance, forecasts, and recommendations,
  • Exercise financial control over important projects, ensuring proper allocation and utilization of resources, and monitoring progress against budgets and targets,
  • Lead and build up the finance team.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field,
  • Proven experience as a Head of Finance, Finance Manager, or similar role in an industrial, dynamic, and fastpaced environment,


  • Start

  • Up Experience in internationally active companies would be a plus,
  • Strong knowledge of financial forecasting, budgeting, and closing processes,
  • Proper understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and experience in preparing financial statements,
  • Expertise in statutory as well as cost accounting,
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools, consolidation software and ERP systems,
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Dynamics and LucaNet is a plus,
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams and present financial information to stakeholders,
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities,
  • Fluency in German and English is a must.
