WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking is looking for a Vice President within the Financial Institutions Group (FIG), DACH & Nordic team, with a primary focus on Nordics, based in Frankfurt.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING


As a
Vice President in our
FIG team , you are responsible for leading, developing and executing complex new business development activities within syndicated and bilateral lending, capital markets, debt capital markets, treasury management, and other corporate services with a
primary focus on Nordic countries.



  • Has oversight for all relationship management, transaction execution, financial modeling, risk analysis, along with coordination with business partners in credit, capital markets, treasury management, corporate trust, wealth management and other product areas.
  • Partners with the Credit Risk Management teams to ensure the appropriate level of risk assessments are being performed on all potential business activities, and that all risks identified are being mitigated in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Employs established methods or techniques in the analysis of financial data. Uses industry knowledge and corporate finance skills to evaluate potential client solutions. Develops, implements, and monitors action plans to ensure the attainment of financial goals. Uses objective financial and business analysis to evaluate the returns and risks of business choices. Analyzes and integrates trends and patterns to determine the root causes of problems and identify solutions. Evaluates short and longterm implications of decisions. Accurately forecasts growth, costs, and business challenges
  • Manages the annual performance management and merit processes for direct and indirect reports.
  • Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise, and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 57 years of extensive relevant banking and sector experience, preferably with a Markets, DCM or Corporate Finance background.
  • Indepth experience advising clients on debt and capital management, markets solutions and other strategic solutions
  • Understanding of compliance issues and regulatory requirements

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's or graduate degree in business administration, economics or industrial engineering
  • Strong academic track record and background
  • Financial knowledge (accounting and company valuation) and understanding of financial statements
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Working knowledge in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to contribute your own ideas and work autonomously.
  • Capable of working under pressure and in a context of shifting priorities.
