The Medical Faculty Mannheim of Heidelberg University offers the position of a

Endowed W 3- Professorship for "Rare Retinal Diseases" (f/m/d)
to be filled for the first time as soon as possible

The endowed professorship is provided by the Dr. Rolf M.

Schwiete Foundation in cooperation with the Universitätsklinikum Mannheim GmbH and will represent the field of "Rare Retinal Diseases" in patient care, research and teaching and will be appointed head of the clinical section "Rare Retinal Diseases" of the Department of Ophthalmology at University Medical Center Mannheim.

The position is tenured.

Professors who are responsible for care of patients in a university hospital are generally employed permanently under private law in accordance with Article 49, paragraph 2a of the Higher Education Law of the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg.

The professorship is associated with the management of the clinical section "Rare Retinal Diseases" in the Eye Clinic of the Universitätsklinikum Mannheim GmbH.

A separate contract will be concluded with the Universitätsklinikum Mannheim GmbH.
