Overview

SOS International LLC, SOSi is currently seeking an experienced Cyber Event Coordinator to join our team in Stuttgart, Germany. The Mission Partner Environment Engineering Services (MPE-ES) team in Stuttgart, Germany creates network infrastructure designs for EUCOM/AFRICOM services. Our designs are secure, reliable, and resilient and support EUCOM/AFRICOM missions and its customers. Our team solves challenging technical problems with architecturally unique solutions that enable EUCOM/AFRICOM to realize critical C2 strategies.

The team develops systems to ensure that every segment of our enterprise infrastructure is healthy and manageable and is robust enough to connect hundreds of cutting-edge embedded systems theater-wide.


Responsibilities:


  • Read US Government strategies and policies related to cyber and communications (including but not limited to the NDS, NMS, NSS, ACP, ACO, Country Campaign Plans, and Bilateral Country Action Plans (BCAP)) and recommend C4 Cyber initiatives with partners.
  • Assess the countries and make recommendations on ways the CCMDs can work with the partner to work toward mutual C4 initiatives to promote the US as a partner of choice.
  • Research country specific cyber policies, summarize them, work with the partner, and then provide recommendations to develop that partner's cyber policies and cyber security best practices.
  • Participate in the SCPWG (Security Cooperation Working Group), SEWG (Strategic Engagements Working Group), and all working groups related to significant security cooperation initiatives and serve as a SME on behalf of the Government at these events.
  • Write C4 initiatives into SSCIs (Significant Security Cooperation Initiatives) as applicable.
  • Draft engagement plans with identified priority partners on behalf of the Government. Provide recommendations for with whom the CCMDs should be engaging and why.
  • Work closely with the CCMD Security Cooperation Directorate (SCD) (or equivalent) to ensure that C4/Cyber communications efforts are integrated into the CCMD mission set for security cooperation events and the M2M engagements are in support of CCMD's Campaign Plan Lines of Effort and Theater Campaign Plan goals.
  • Plan the event through coordination with desk officers, offices of security cooperation, and partners to finalize dates and venue location. This includes scheduling the location, drafting the agenda based on mutual objectives nested in action plans, coordinating the travel associated with VAR requests, arranging for building access, setting up systems at location including dialins etc.
  • Conduct, lead, and report on the meeting providing weekly project and event management updates as well as due outs. and other action reports/follow on actions (AM&E).
  • Coordinate services for events, such as accommodation, transportation for participants, facilities, catering, signage, displays, special needs requirements, printing and event security.
  • Meet with clients to understand the purpose of the meeting or event.
  • Assist with planning the scope of the event, including time, location, and cost.
  • Solicit bids from venues and service providers (for example, florists or photographers).
  • Inspect venues to ensure that they meet the client's requirements.
  • Coordinate event services such as rooms, transportation, and food service.
  • Monitor event activities to ensure the client and event attendees are satisfied.
  • Plan, coordinate and execute visits by foreign delegations at the General/Flag office/equivalent level.
  • Coordinate all IT systems and network related support services.
  • Update and manage various needed services and software, routinely conference with service vendors to leverage maximum capacity of current services.
  • Optimize network and virtual systems operations for costeffectiveness and resource utilization.
  • Troubleshoot, configure, and manage network and peripheral devices.
  • Travel as required to provide event planning and support.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and provide fast, ad hoc technical solutions in a highpressure environment.

Qualifications:


  • A current active inscope Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or 10 years of IT experience.
  • Must be able to obtain certification as a Technical Expert by the German Government under the Technical Expert Status Accreditation (TESA) process.
  • Must have experience with event planning or conference support functions.
  • Excellent customer service skills/orientation.
  • Working technical knowledge of current operating systems and standards.
  • Ability to launch and operate desktop diagnostic tools to perform remote diagnostics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Able to work well in pressure/stress related situations and remain calm.
  • Analytical and problemsolving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
