Hello, we are
AMBOSS and we are looking for the next
Copy Editor to join our English (US) copyediting team in Germany If you're passionate about the art of language and the language of medicine, we would be delighted to meet you In this role, you will be working with medical professionals on a resource used by medical students and clinicians worldwide.

About AMBOSS:

AMBOSS is a learning and clinical decision support tool striving to empower physicians across the globe to provide the best possible care.

In 2011 our founders set out to create a tool they wish they'd had as medical students and doctors. Since then, we have grown to operate in 180 countries. Currently, we have more than 500 employees in our offices in Berlin, Cologne, New York, and Cagliari.

You will:

Edit AMBOSS content in accordance with our inhouse style guide (based on the AMA Manual of Style)
Provide language support for our medical writers
Help shape the language of our products
Collaborate with the medical, multimedia, user experience, and marketing teams
Keep uptodate with the latest developments in medical language
Help maintain our inhouse style guide
Deliver training to our medical writers
Refine editorial processes to increase efficiency

You have:

A deep interest in the intricacies of English and exceptional (nativelevel) skills
Substantial experience in editing (scientific editing is a plus)
Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to edit according to a style guide
Outstanding communication skills and a passion for explaining language conventions

Here is what your interview journey will look like:

A 30-minute call with one of our Talent Acquisition Managers to get to know you, understand your career motivations, and give you more insight into the role and team
A 45minute interview with Alex, our Team Lead, to dive deeper into the role and asses your technical skills for the position
A written copyediting assessment based on content from the AMBOSS platform
A 30minute call to get to know the copyediting team
