Job Description:


As (Junior) Accountant (M/F/d) in Accounting Germany you will be responsible for the independent technical support and optimization of accounting processes.

You will also be involved in project work and special tasks.

The position includes the following main tasks in particular:


  • Functional implementation and design of accounting processes with a focus on general ledger accounting as part of the monthly preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and the German Commercial Code (HGB)
  • Processing of special accounting tasks (e.g. valuation of financial assets, accounting for valuation units and derivatives)
  • Preparation of work instructions and guidelines in coordination with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Reviewing quarterly and annual financial statements regarding material and formal correctness and compliance with group guidelines
  • Analysis and evaluation of financial statements
  • Advising and supporting employees on accounting and financial reporting issues
  • Project work on numerous organizational restructurings as well as on the digitalization of financial processes in an international context

Your profile:
You are an engaged as well as customer
- and team-oriented personality. In addition to an independent and careful way of working, your strengths include good analytical skills and a strong understanding of numbers. You also have excellent communication skills at various management levels.


Professional requirements:

  • Degree in economics with a focus on accounting; alternatively, a corresponding apprenticeship as an Accountant
  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in the field of accounting
  • Good knowledge in accounting in general as well as in accounting according to HGB and IFRS
  • Good knowledge in the use of ERP systems, in particular SAP-ERP (FI module)
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Very good knowledge of German
  • Good MS Office skills
Als (Junior) Accountant/ Bilanzbuchhalter (m/w/d), im Accounting Germany übernehmen Sie die selbständige fachliche Betreuung und Optimierung der Rechnungswesenprozesse. Außerdem werden Sie in Projektarbeiten und Sonderaufgaben eingebunden.

Die Position umfasst insbesondere folgende Hauptaufgaben:

  • Fachliche Umsetzung und Gestaltung von Rechnungslegungsprozessen mit Schwerpunkt auf der Hauptbuchhaltung im Rahmen der monatlichen Abschlusserstellung nach IFRS und HGB
  • Bearbeitung spezieller buchhalterischer Aufgaben (z. B. Bewertung von Finanzanlagen, Bilanzierung von Bewertungseinheiten und Derivaten)
  • Erstellen von Arbeitsanweisungen und Richtlinien in Abstimmung mit diversen internen und externen Stakeholdern
- Überprüfung der Quartals
- und Jahresabschlüsse auf materielle und formelle Richtigkeit und auf die Einhaltung der Konzernrichtlinien

  • Analyse und Auswertung der Abschlüsse
  • Beratung und Unterstützung der Mitarbeiter in Buchhaltungs
- und Bilanzierungsfragen

  • Projektarbeit bei organisatorischen Umstrukturierungen sowie bei der Digitalisierung von Finanzprozessen im internationalen Kontext
  • Ihr Profil:
  • Sie sind eine engagierte sowie kunden
- und teamorientierte Persönlichkeit. Neben einer selbstständigen und sorgfältigen Arbeitsweise zählen gute analytische Fähigkeiten und ein ausgeprägtes Zahlenverständnis zu Ihren Stärken. Zudem zeichnet Sie eine sehr gute Kommunikationsfähigkeit auf verschieden Managementebenen aus.
  • Folgende fachliche Voraussetzungen bringen Sie mit:
  • Studium der Wirtschaftswissenschaften mit Schwerpunkt Rechnungswesen; alternativ eine entsprechende Ausbildung zum Buchhalter
  • Mindestens zwei Jahre einschlägige Berufserfahrung im Bereich Accounting
  • Gute Kenntnisse im Rechnungswesen allgemein sowie in der Bilanzierung nach HGB und IFRS
  • Gute Kenntnisse in der Anwendung von ERP-Systemen, insbesondere SAP-ERP (FI-Modul)
  • Gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
  • Sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse
  • Gute MS Office Kenntnisse
