The Credit Markets department is responsible for trading and risk management of credit risks.

As part of the "Environmental Products" growth initiative, CO2 certificate trading was introduced and is the responsibility of the Credit Markets department.

The Environmental Product Team of the department is responsible for the development and introduction of further asset classes such as electricity and gas trading products to support LBBW's customers in their transformation to climate-friendly processes and to ensure energy supply security in Germany.

The department is divided into front book and back book trading units. The focus of the backbook traders is on risk and pnl management of the various products in credit markets. They are responsible for the central "debtor-oriented" risk management of credit products in Financial Markets.


The Credit Markets Flow group is responsible for front trading (quoting, execution, hedging) in flow products of the Credit Markets department.

The focus is on the execution of customer trades and trading in the fixed income/bond area (coprorates, financials, countries). The Credit Markets Structured group is responsible for the structuring of "high touch" credit products.

The focus is on the development of products according to the needs of the customers as well as their introduction in LBBW.

The Frontbook Traders support the Backbook Traders by executing customer transactions and organizing efficient cooperation / communication with the responsible sales units.

They work in close coordination and under the set risk framework by the Back Book Traders. The traders work together across locations with offices in Stuttgart, London, New York and Singapore.


Tasks:


Ambitious:

You will be responsible for front trading of "low touch" credit products (including Corporate and Financial Bonds, EUR and FX,etc.) as well as "high touch" credit products (including CLNs, Repos / TRS / FLS, Loans, MM, LoC, Insurance etc.).


Independent:
Your tasks include pricing of products, execution of client transactions (incl. adequate documentation) as well as booking and operation of (trading) systems.

Diverse:
You take care of the hedging of positions (FX, interest, credit, commodity hedge).

Supportive:

You support the central risk management in the back books (especially with regard to pricing/PnL, RWA consumption, hedging or coverage strategy, KPIs, accounting, regulation, product and market expertise).


Innovative:
You drive digitalization.

Therefore you improve the system mapping and take care of the continuous automation of the (trading) processes - with the goal of maximum efficiency increase, improvement of the CIR (front-to-back) as well as the expansion of the coverage in "high touch" products especially internationally.


Structured:

You always have an eye on trade statistics, improving data quality, (digital) evaluation of data and customer behavior using algos / machine learning.


Requirements:


Qualified:

You have a university degree in economics, natural sciences or law, or you have completed training as a banker or a banking apprenticeship with comparable qualifications.


Competent:
You have basic product knowledge and a good economic understanding of the (credit) markets - national and international. You have knowledge of financial mathematics. Ideally, you have know-how in the topics of digitalization / automation / artificial intelligence and process optimization.

Versatile:
You have strong analytical and quantitative skills as well as strategic thinking.
