  • Group Finance Technology is the team at Bauer that is responsible for building the consolidated financial/strategic plans for Technology/IT at the group level, analyzing performance against those for the Board, and has Finance Business Partnering responsibility for key Technology functions.
  • The role is based in Hamburg (when in the office), reporting to the CFO Global Technology, as part of the Group Finance Team. You will be leading the Team Group Finance Technology, responsible for helping Bauer achieve its short
- and long-term financial objectives through the design and operation of core Group Finance Technology process, delivering insightful analysis that drives business action and outcomes, in addition to contributing to the transformation of the Finance function


Key responsibilities:


Planning and Management Reporting

  • Build and maintain detailed knowledge and understanding of the businesses across the Bauer Group Technology to enable delivery of meaningful management reporting to the Board and other key stakeholders, that include insight to support decision making.
  • Managing and supporting Group Planning Processes Technology (Long Term Strategic Plans, Budgets and inyear Forecasts) from design to implementation. Consolidating Technology Plans at Group Level with analysis, preparation of materials to the Board, including briefing papers and presentations.
  • Driving Planning and Analysis initiatives that enhance the link between operational performance of Technology departments and financial performance e.g., KPI dashboarding and driverbased reporting and forecasting.
  • Financial implementation of the Technology Target Operating Model (TOM) and helping to establish One Technology at Bauer.
  • Supporting Finance activities that sit with Group Finance outside of Planning/Reporting processes & Ad hoc Group Financial analysis.

Transformation

  • Opportunity to support the implementation of the new Group wide ERP/ EPM system we are just starting a 4year implementation programme, acting as key Group stakeholder in Technology workstreams.
  • Ongoing collaboration and support of Planning, Reporting and Analysis initiatives that deliver improvements to centralised reporting and KPI dashboards, embedding these into daytoday operating rhythm of Finance.

Your profile:


  • We are looking for a driven, collaborative and outcome orientated person, who is looking to support Bauer as we establish the building blocks for our next phase of growth, and who wants to progress their career within Finance.
  • You will be someone that is comfortable working with Senior Execs able to simplify complex issues to get the essence of the story, and a proactive change agent looking to drive better process/ ways of working/ data and insight as shape the future finance function.

Specific qualities we are looking for:


  • Finance professional, with the relevant qualification e.g. BSc or MSc in Finance
  • Confident, resilient leader with strong financial, commercial, and analytical skills
  • Open mindset of willingness to learn and drive change, looking to move the finance function forward through process, reporting and data enhancements.
  • 810 years Finance experience (especially Planning, Analysis and Reporting is valued), and previous experience in a Finance Technology role is a plus
  • Strong systems and tools experience e.g., MS office, PowerBI, SAP
  • Good working level of English (verbally and written)
