In order to support the Communication Technologies within Airbus Central Research and Technology, Airbus Operations is looking for a

Master Thesis within 6G mobile communications for aeronautical use (d/f/m):

Your location:

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities:

Get familiar with the 5G NR specifications and OFDM communication systems
Get familiar with aerial use cases considered in the frame of 6G
Get familiar with existing simulation framework and extend it
Simulate new technologies supporting air to ground communications
Assess and compare the performance of these technologies in the simulated scenarios

Desired skills and qualifications:

You are enrolled full time student (d/f/m) within Engineering or similar field of study
You have good knowledge on mobile communication technologies
You have good software skills (Linux, Python, C++ or any scripting language)
You are fluent in English and Intermediate in German
You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently
