Our Property Treaty department is responsible for the underwriting, development and profitability of the Property Treaty Business in UK, Ireland, the Netherlands and the Nordics, which are highly developed and strategic markets.

Our strategy is focused on business excellence, profitable growth foremost with strategic partners and "new strategic options" comprising topics like Data Analytics and other innovative propositions but also capital management solutions.

As a Senior Underwriter Property Treaty in our team, which is mainly responsible for the proportional book of business as well as new strategic options, you will be working on our core clients and develop and/or evaluate new innovative business opportunities close to the core.

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Property Treaty Underwriter, whose fields of activity will cover clients and topics in the above-mentioned markets.

Your Job:

Acquiring and/or renewing, structuring and pricing property treaty reinsurance business for accounts across the abovementioned markets
Drive new strategic options with Property focus, develop customized underwriting and business steering solutions as well as tools for our clients
Measure and monitor portfolio progress by reviewing and analyzing Property underwriting data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in dialogue with the client
Training of and supervising UW colleagues, building up and improving underwriting knowhow and ensuring consistent UW quality and adherence to UW standards
Interact and negotiate with clients and brokers on a frequent basis
Take a key role in projects, workshops and strategy development
Collaborate closely with our counterparts in Client Management, the Casualty Underwriting team, the relevant central units as well as MR group entities

Your Profile:

Indepth knowledge and experience in nonlife (re)insurance, property insurance products, underwriting practices and procedures
Familiarity with Munich Re's standard treaty underwriting tools
Knowledge of internal and external NatCat models are an advantage
Exposure to data analytics, understanding of data modelling tools / data models
Track record in actuarial reserving, monitoring or portfolio and accumulation management would be an asset
Distinguished organizational and projectmanagement skills in combination with presentation and training skills
Effective problem solving skills and welldeveloped interpersonal skills
High level of cultural sensitivity.
Fluent in English (written and spoken). German is a plus.
